Premier League
Wolves vs Nottingham Forest prediction
It’s West versus East on Saturday as two Midlands clubs in need of a victory go face-to-face at Molineaux.
Nottingham Forest have been the laughing stock of the 2022-23 Premier League season so far as they sit bottom with just five points through 10 games after spending more than £160 million on transfers over the summer. That doesn’t even include free transfer Jesse Lingard and his £100k-a-week salary.
And whilst Steve Cooper’s side picked up a 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa on Monday night, it must be said that the visitors were awful with manager Steven Gerrard seemingly close to being shown the exit door.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have only taken six points from their first nine games this season and head into the weekend on a three-game losing streak. They haven’t even scored during this streak, though these fixtures do include both Manchester City and Chelsea.
Former youth team coach Steve Davis is set for his third team in charge for Wolves this weekend and I am confident he’ll earn his side three points.
Nottingham Forest have been a mess, struggling in front of goal, have lost their last two road games by an aggregate score of 0-10 and have a quiet set of fans on their road. I wouldn’t normally tip a team odds on in such poor form but that gives you an idea of how confident I am in Wolves.
Best bet: Wolves to win is 3/4
