Premier League
Wolves vs Man Utd prediction

Manchester United will look to follow up on their 3-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest on Tuesday and make it three Premier League wins on the spin when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Year’s Eve.
Erik ten Hag’s side were 2-0 up inside 25 minutes thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial against a poor Forest side as they look to close in on the top four and the UEFA Champions League places.
They were solid at the back even with Luke Shaw playing at centre-back and looked like creating a chance with every counter-attack. In fact, the scoreline could have been much greater but for a couple of good opportuinities spurned.
Wolves have won just three games all season but one of those did come in stoppage time on Boxing Day at a relegation-threatened Everton. Their two other victories, both at home, came against Southampton and Nottingham Forest, meaning they have only beaten teams currently in the bottom five.
Manchester United start New Year’s Eve in fifth with an opportunity to start the New Year in fourth by taking all three points at Molineux. And I believe they will accomplish just that with Rashford, Martial, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen all looking sharp on their returns from the World Cup.
Should Luke Shaw start at centre-back again, Wolves have really struggled in front of goal this season so there is a chance of another clean sheet for the Red Devils. Diego Costa is a clever striker though, but has yet to get firing on his return to English football.
Best bet: Manchester United to win is 4/5 with BetFred
