Tottenham vs Leeds prediction

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to start 2021 with a victory to get back in the battle for a top four finish and maybe an outside shot at a Premier League title challenge.

Jose Mourinho’s side are without a win in their last three as they welcome Leeds United to North London on Saturday.

Spurs were held 1-1 away to Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out courtesy of a late equaliser from the hosts. Two days later and Leeds hammered West Bromwich Albion 5-0 at the Hawthorns.

Prior to their back-to-back victories Marcelo Bielsa’s side had started to drop towards the relegation places but that looks like no threat now. However, with only three days’ rest compared to Spurs’ five coming into this, could play a big tole of the Yorkshire side, after a hectic Christmas fixture list already.

On the road to the top teams, Leeds have recently been hammered 2-6 at Manchester United and 1-3 at Chelsea, which gives me good confidence to back a Tottenham win in this one. I think Mourinho will tactically outclass his opposite number, and we should see Harry Kane and Son Heung-min see plenty of opportunities in this one too.

Although odds on I would not be surprised if Tottenham win a couple of goals in this one and therefore I am confident in backing them.
