Premier League
Tottenham vs Arsenal prediction
The first North London derby of the 2020-21 Premier League season is set to have 2,000 home supporters on Sunday when Tottenham Hotspur welcome local rivals Arsenal to their new stadium.
Tottenham’s four-game winning streak in the league came to an end with a 0-0 draw away to Chelsea last weekend, but it means that Jose Mourinho’s side have kept clean sheets in four of their last five.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s 1-2 loss at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers means they’ve taken just one point from a possible nine, with that being their only goal during this baron run.
Both sides were in action Thursday in the Europa League, resting the majority of their first team. For what it’s worth, Spurs were away in Austria whilst Arsenal were at home to Austrian opposition.
Tottenham are the Premier League leaders and I expect the duo of Hon Seung-min and Harry Kane to cause them real problems, whilst Gareth Bale could be an impact sub in this game too.
Arsenal have looked woeful in attack of late, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s drought continuing and Willian not delivering the goods from down the flanks. And I simply don’t trust their defence to be capable of handling Spurs’ attack. There’s some very good value on the home side in this one and a lack of atmosphere, particularly with no away fans in the stadium, means the rivalry x-factor probably won’t have a huge impact on proceedings either.
Best bet: Tottenham to win is 2.10 with Betfair
