Sheffield United vs Leeds prediction

HINT: Leeds ODDS: 17/10 27 SEP @ 12:00

A Yorkshire derby on Sunday lunchtime sees struggling Sheffield United host freescoring Leeds United at Bramall Lane.

The Blades have yet to score in their 0-2 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers and 0-1 loss away to Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Leeds have racked up seven goals in their first two games back in the Premier League.

Chris Wilder has struggled to get his Sheffield United side back to their pre-lockdown form, having dropped off after the resumption of last season and starting this one very poorly.

An early kickoff, a local derby, form may go out of the window in this one but I still see very good value in an away win simply because of the generous odds that the bookmakers are currently giving Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Sheffield United have rarely looked like scoring in their opening two matches, even missing a penalty, whilst Leeds have goals all over the pitch in Jack Harrison, Matuesz Klich, Stuart Dallas and even Patrick Bamford. Club record signing Rodrigo is still waiting to be handed his first Premier League start too.

Expect the visitors to take the game to Sheffield United in this one. I respect that Chris Wilder is a good tactician, but currently he is in charge of a team short of form and morale, and a lack of firepower up front may see them fail to match Leeds’ attack on Sunday.
