Premier League
Sheff Utd vs Leicester prediction
Leicester City return from Ukraine on Thursday night to face the Premier League’s bottom club Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday.
Brendan Rodgers played a much stronger starting XI than I was expecting in their 0-1 loss to Zorya just two-and-a-half days before they’re back in England and in domestic action.
The likes of Jamie Vardy, Kasper Schmeichel, Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans were all rested at least.
Leicester head into the weekend just three points behind Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur, facing a side who have taken just one point from their opening 10 matches and scored just four goals. But for half of their first team playing in Ukraine during the week I would expect the visitors to be odds on favourites for this match.
Instead, I think we have a very good value bet here, particularly with a fresh Jamie Vardy going up against the Blades’ defence that were beaten away at West Bromwich Albion last weekend; handing the Baggies their first win of the season.
The Foxes were surprisingly beaten at home by Fulham in their last league match but that came after playing their first team in the Europa League. I don’t expect them to be caught out by another relegation threatened side so soon after. I am very confident in a Leicester win on Sunday and the odds make it the bet of the day for me.
