Man City vs Burnley prediction
Manchester City will be looking to keep within two points of Premier League leaders Chelsea if not gain on Thomas Tuchel’s side this weekend when they host a struggling Burnley side after the international break.
Pep Guardiola will have to do so without goalkeeper Ederson and striker Gabriel Jesus as both were on international duty with Brazil on Friday morning our time. American Goalkeeper Zack Steffen can be expected to play between the posts whilst Jesus hasn’t been too popular or productive in recent seasons.
Winless Burnley have scored just five goals in their seven Premier League matches to start the 2021-22 campaign, losing four times. Sean Dyche’s side can be expected to park the bus in this game and look for the odd chance of a counter attack.
The Clarets will certainly be the fresher of the two squads with fewer players and much less air miles over the international break. But with the talent the Citizens have at their disposal you can expect the Spanish manager to find enough talent to get the job done.
This could include a rare start this season for Raheem Sterling, whilst Ferran Torres and Jack Grealish are unlikely to be complaining of fatigue. Manchester City’s price is just 1.14 to win, which is a dead cert but isn’t going to return much. So go for City to win on the handicap.
Best bet: Man City to win -1.5 goals at 1.4 with Bet365
