Liverpool will look to maintain their place at the top of the Premier League table on Wednesday night when they welcome Chelsea to Anfield, the same time that Manchester City are in action at home to Burnley.

Jurgen Klopp announced he will be leaving the Reds at the end of the season so this will be his final Premier League game versus Chelsea. And his side have a great opportunity to win given the Blues’ performances this season.

Although Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won their last three in the league since suffering defeat at Wolves on Christmas Eve, they weren’t overly impressive in beating Crystal Palace 2-1, Luton Town 3-2 and Fulham 1-0. Liverpool will be a whole different beast in comparison to those opponents.

Liverpool were 5-2 winners over Norwich City in the FA Cup at the weekend, and have hammered Bournemouth 4-0, Newcastle United 4-2 and Burnley 2-0 in their last three Premier League games. They have also beaten Arsenal 2-0 in the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium.

The Merseyside club have won six of their last seven in all competitions and remain unbeaten at home this season. Although these two drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge on the opening weekend of the season, Liverpool will be too strong for Chelsea this time.
