Liverpool vs Burnley prediction
Liverpool kickstarted their 2021-22 Premier League campaign with an emphatic 3-0 victory at Carrow Road last weekend as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to get back among the title contenders this season.
Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah were all on the scoresheet against Norwich City and should all fancy their chances again this weekend when they welcome Burnley to Anfield.
Sean Dyche’s side are set for a tough campaign after another summer of inactivity in the transfer market. The £12 million signing of Nathan Collins from Stoke City and picking up Wayne Hennessey on a free transfer are the only new faces at Turf Moor compared to last season.
Burnley started their season by taking the lead over Brighton & Hove Albion inside only two minutes but ended up losing 1-2.
This should be a straightforward three points for Liverpool and the bookmakers agree by giving just a 1.22 price on a home win. Their front three will be looking to decimate a Burnley defence that allowed eight shots on target last weekend against a Brighton side that aren’t expected to pick up too many wins on the road.
Liverpool have good depth throughout the squad now they are healthy again and with a new centre-back added. However Klopp goes with up front this weekend should see chances in front of goal, if not several.
