Premier League
Everton vs Norwich City prediction

Everton will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s heavy defeat when they host pointless Norwich City on Saturday.
Rafa Benitez’s side were drubbed 0-3 away to Aston Villa; their first defeat of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign. Other than that, it has been a fine start to the season for the Merseyside club, which includes a 100% win record at home and 10 points from a possible 15.
Visitors Norwich are yet to pick up a single point in their return to the top flight and have just two goals to show for it, compared to the 14 they have conceded.
A leaky defence will be a bonus to Everton as they are set to be without both Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin so Salomon Rondon is in line to make his second Premier League start since returning to England from China this summer. Don’t be surprised if the Venezuelan gets among the goals, whilst Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend are both threats to the Canaries’ defence.
Norwich should be buoyed by Everton shipping three goals at Villa Park last weekend. Teemu Pukki has both goals for Daniel Farke’s side so far this season and will be looking to improve on his outing in the top flight two seasons ago where he scored 11 goals. And whilst the Finn is certainly capable of getting among the goals at Goodison Park on Saturday, I simply expect the hosts to outscore his side.
I think the bookmakers are being very generous with Everton’s odds here given there are already 10 points between these two after just five games. Home banker for me.
