Premier League
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool prediction
Crystal Palace’s winless start to the season continued when they were beaten 1-2 at lowly Everton last weekend. The Eagles had led 1-0 at half-time thanks to an early goal from Marc Guehi but shipped two Dwight McNeil goals in the opening 10 minutes of the second half.
Oliver Glasner’s side have only taken three points from their opening six games, albeit respectable draws against Chelsea and Manchester United. However, they welcome high-flying Liverpool to Selhurst Park this weekend.
The Reds have made a fantastic start under Arne Slot, winning five of their first six Premier League games under their new manager, with the only blemish being a loss at home to Nottingham Forest. Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah scored the goals as the Merseyside club won 2-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
This is top versus a bottom three side and I full expect Liverpool to live up to their pre-game favourite status by taking all three points away from South East London on Saturday/
The hosts have a number of injuries heading into the weekend, with Chadi Riad, Christopher Richards, Cheick Doucoure, Matheus Franca and Rob Holding being the main injury concerns for Glasner’s. Harvey Elliott is the only confirmed absentee for Liverpool, while Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Andrew Robertson are all expected to be available to play.
Liverpool are odds on favourites and I don’t expect any slip ups with how the two sides have fared in the opening weeks of the season.
Best bet: Liverpool to win is 4/6 with Bet365
