Premier League
Crystal Palace vs Brentford prediction

Brentford kicked off the 2021-22 Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in their debut appearance as the 50th team to play in the English top flight since it was rebranded in 1992. Goals in each half from Sergio Canos and Christian Norgaard sent the West London club on their way.
Meanwhile, Patrick Vieira was handed an unenviable start to his reign as Crystal Palace manager by facing the Champions League holders at Stamford Bridge last weekend. Chelsea dominated in a 3-0 victory.
The Eagles are immediately among the favourites to go down this season following the departure of Roy Hodgson and several players over the summer. The experience of Gary Cahill, Mamadou Sakho, Scott Dann and James McCarthy were all moved on whilst talented Patrick van Aanholt joined Galatasaray on a free transfer.
Brentford are a tight knit unit whilst I see Crystal Palace as a bit of a mess right now with a relatively inexperienced manager, albeit one who was hugely successful as a player in the Premier League. This is certainly a good opportunity for the Bees to pick up further points in the opening games of the new season and I think they will do just that this weekend.
Best bet: Lay Crystal Palace at 2.7 with Betfair
Value bet: Brentford to win at 2/1 with Bet-at-Home
