Chelsea vs Sheff Utd prediction

Chelsea ran out convincing 3-0 winners at home to Rennes in the Champions League as Frank Lampard’s side have been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United have taken just one point from their opening seven games this season, scoring just three goals. Chris Wilder’s side have never really recovered since the postponement back in March.

This is Chelsea’s final fixture before the international break, from which they return with midweek games until January. Therefore I think Frank Lampard sends his strongest side out with a ruthless side to pick up three points at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner both got among the goals last weekend as this expensive attack is starting to take shape. The German striker then scored a brace of penalties midweek so his confidence has to be at a high, which is something the Blades are going to have to fear.

I simply think Chelsea have too much firepower for the visitors this weekend and they have scored 10 goals without conceding in their past three games since drawing 0-0 at Manchester United.

As the odds suggest, I do think this is a dead cert.
