Burnley vs Tottenham prediction

Tottenham Hotspur have made an interesting start to their 2020-21 Premier League campaign – just two points from their three home matches but maximum points from their two games on the road. I expect that trend to continue on Monday night when Jose Mourinho takes his side to Turf Moor.

The Clarets picked up their first point of the campaign last Monday – a 0-0 draw away to fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion. Sean Dyche’s side haven’t scored since their 2-4 loss at Leicester City on the opening weekend.

Burnley look like the favourites to be relegated from the Premier League with how they have started this season. They barely spent a penny in the summer transfer window either, whilst key midfielder Jeff Hendrick left on a free transfer.

Heung-min Son and Harry Kane have been lethal to start the new campaign and I expect this combination alone to be too much for the home side’s defence to shut out, even on a cold Monday night up north.

Spurs will be keen to finish in the top four this season off the back of an inconsistent campaign that saw them miss out on European football completely, and this is a perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways after a 3-3 draw at home to West Ham United last weekend.

They are odds-on favourites and I expect them to live up to this price. As with every Premier League game so far this season, you can watch live on television in the UK and judge for yourself but I am confident in this tip before the teams are even announced.
