Arsenal vs Newcastle prediction

HINT: Arsenal ODDS: 1.55 27 NOV @ 12:30

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their humbling 0-4 loss away to Liverpool last weekend when they welcome Newcastle United to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The Gunners had been unbeaten in their previous eight Premier League matches, winning six prior to their trip to Anfield. And whilst their supporters were wrong to think they would get something against the title contenders, they have every right to believe they will bounce back this Saturday.

Visitors Newcastle will have new manager Eddie Howe from the touchline for the first time after his debut in last weekend’s 3-3 draw at home to Brentford came from his hotel room due to Covid protocols.

The Magpies are winless in 12 matches this season (D6, L6) and haven’t kept a single clean sheet. Based on his time at Bournemouth, Howe isn’t the man you’d expect to fix that anytime soon.

Expect Newcastle to look to hurt Arsenal’s defence on the counter attack in this game with the likes of Allain Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson. But ultimately, expect the hosts to create several chances and win this game comfortably.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette should enjoy a number of chances versus a porous defence, with the likes of  Bukaya Sako, Nicolas Pepe and Emile Smith Rowe enjoying a productive afternoon in creating chances.

Although the odds aren’t huge, Arsenal are still decent value as they should dominate possession and territory and ultimately win.
