3/1 Champions League winners tip
We are four games into the 2020-21 Champions League group stage and six teams have already booked their place into the knockout stages.
Of those sides, defending champions Bayern Munich are the only team to have sealed their group with two games to spare.
The Bundesliga champions are also the only side to have looked impressive in the process.
English Premier League champions Liverpool were beaten at home by Atalanta this past week and have numerous injuries in defence. Pre-season favourites Manchester City have simply been inconsistent to start the new campaign.
Italian giants Juventus have made a slow start under Andrea Pirlo and currently cannot be considered as genuine challengers to Bayern’s throne currently. That could all change in the new year but for now I don’t see it happening.
Real Madrid and Barcelona look well off the pace, both domestically and in the Champions League. They are currently far from their former selves, and whilst the record champions of this competition are struggling against the likes of Cadiz, Valencia and Villarreal, I don’t see them getting past the likes of Bayern Munich. Barcelona have Martin Braithwaite in their side – need I say more?
Paris Saint-Germain are an interesting one. Their odds are back at 14/1 currently which I see as good value, assuming they progress from their group.
Overall though, Bayern Munich are a machine. Their depth is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the competition and unless they get a couple of major injuries in the run up to the latter stages, I simply do not see them being beaten.
