United Career: 1962–1973
In 1962, Sir Matt Busby broke the British transfer record to bring the Scottish footballer Denis Law back to English football from Torino. Law was almost unstoppable for United in the 1960s, and he scored 237 goals for the club until he left in 1973. Therefore, he still scored the third-highest number of goals in the club’s history.
