Premier League
Leicester vs Chelsea prediction
Chelsea headed into the international break with a humbling draw at home to lowly Burnley at Stamford Bridge and will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League with a win at Leicester City on Saturday lunchtime.
Thomas Tuchel’s side had been on a four-game winning streak and three consecutive clean sheets prior to Matej Vydra’s late equaliser in a 1-1 draw.
Prior to that, the Blues had looked serious title contenders and we have every reason to believe they will bounce back this weekend.
Hosts Leicester City have won just four of their 11 Premier League fixtures, which includes a narrow win at a pointless Norwich City at the time, as well as narrowly beating Wolverhampton Wanderers in Bruno Lage’s first game, and a 2-1 win at newly-promoted Brentford.
Aside from a 4-2 victory over Manchester United, the Foxes have generally struggled against the top sides – hammered 4-1 at West Ham United, and beaten at home to nil by both Manchester City and Arsenal.
Two excellent managers go head-to-head in this one and whilst I would have been more comfortable with Chelsea being odds against, I am still confident in backing them at 1.84 prior to the game. I will wait for the lineups to be announced though in case any unknown injuries or fatigue has been collected during the international break. Otherwise, the West London side should come away from the King Power Stadium with all three points.
Best bet: Chelsea to win is 1.84 with Betfair
