Everton vs Man City prediction 31/03/2018

Manchester City would go one step closer to lifting the 2017-18 Premier League title with a victory at Goodison Park on Saturday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side have runaway with the title this season after one dominating display to another, whilst Everton have stalled in recent weeks under Sam Allardyce.

City could be without Sergio Aguero, with his likely replacement, Gabriel Jesus, not coming close to the form he showed at the end of last season that saw him displace the Argentine striker.

Even still, Guardiola’s side have goal threats down the wings in Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva, whilst Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva behind them shouldn’t have any problem opening up the Everton defence.

Indeed, the Toffees have been defending poorly in recent weeks and could be on the end of a thrashing on Saturday.  The game is televised for in-play betting opportunities too.

Going forward, Cenk Tosun is scoring goals for Everton since his January arrival but I don’t expect the Turkish striker to see many opportunities or much supply in this one.  Though the City defence is fragile when tested, they simply retain too much of the ball for many teams to get a great deal of sightings.

Expecting a comfortable win for Manchester City.  Their 1.26 odds are a dead cert but not value, so I think betting on them to lead at HT/FT is the best value for this game.
